How do I resize a photo to 50 KB or a signature to 20 KB for an online form?
Open Form Assistant, choose the photo or signature, then tap a preset (photo 20–50 KB, signature 10–20 KB, thumb impression 20 KB) or type the exact KB the form asks for. ScanSathi resizes it on your phone and you can save or share the result. In our test a 710 KB photo came out at 50 KB and a 334 KB signature at 17 KB.
How do I compress a PDF to under 200 KB?
Open the PDF in ScanSathi, tap Compress and choose Under 200 KB (or 500 KB, 1 MB, 2 MB). The text stays readable. A 2.4 MB two-page agreement compressed to 185 KB in our test.
Can ScanSathi convert HEIC, WebP, PNG and JPG images?
Yes. ScanSathi converts HEIC to JPG, WebP to JPG, PNG to JPG, JPG to PNG, and JPG or PNG to WebP. It also turns photos into one PDF, saves PDF pages as JPG images, and copies text out of images and PDFs. All conversions run on your phone.
Can I put both sides of my ID card on one page?
Yes. Choose ID front & back, scan both sides, and ScanSathi saves them on a single PDF page, ready to share or print. There is also an A4 sheet that fits several cards on one page to print and cut out.
Can I copy Hindi text from a photo?
Yes. ScanSathi reads English, Hindi and Marathi text from a scan or photo without an internet connection. Copy it, share it, or save it as a .txt file.
Is ScanSathi free? Does it add a watermark?
Yes, it is free, and scans have no forced watermark. The free version shows a few ads. ScanSathi Pro is a small one-time payment that removes ads and unlocks every filter. No subscription.
Does ScanSathi upload my documents?
No. Scanning, PDF tools, image conversion and text extraction run on your phone, and there is no ScanSathi account or document server. The free version uses the internet only to show ads; Pro removes those too.
Will it run on a budget phone?
Yes. ScanSathi is built for phones with 2 GB of RAM: heavy image work runs in the background and a Lite mode lowers capture resolution on low-memory devices.
